How to Curb a TikTok Trance
Although most experience it, putting the phone down and taking a break can be accomplished in several ways.
Using the restroom, performing your daily household chores, keeping up with personal social commitments, and exercising are all prevented by the newest mainstream tool of procrastination; TikTok. It’s almost as if the app is designed to be a magnet; its offer of quick dopamine attracts even those with the most substantial attention spans. But unfortunately, it has become the next generation of cat videos and locked us to our devices.
It goes without saying that app users can and should be productive. TikTok can give platforms to marginalized people, operate as a channel for education, and promote growing causes. Most notably, it brings ease to those who had stressful days via a goodie bag of personalized content. But, unfortunately, those feelings of relaxation can morph into you being chained to your phone.
Then, without warning, those in a trance snap out of it when they realize how much time has passed, which brings dreadful feelings.
